I2P is the acronym of Invisible Internet Project. It is a project with the main objective of anonymous communication between the computers on a net through Internet. And that is why they developed I2P.

  I2P is an application that manages to make your communications via Internet anonymous, by hiding your identity. It is one of the best ways to provide the users with privacy during their connections to the net.

  This can come in very handy if your want to use the BitTorrent anonymously, or other utilities like mail or chat.

  I2P is no an intuitive application, and requires a thorough reading of the information supplied by the developers on their website, because you will have to configure some of the parameters of the net.

  You can launch the application from the command line of any operating system, launching the  java -jar i2pinstall-0.7.7.0.exe file or renaming the application as JAR for Mac.

  Requirements: This download requires that you have Java 1.5 installed.

  Note: To launch it on Mac or Linux you have to write -jar i2pintall_0.8.exe -console in the java command line.
